Open burning of fuel, garbage, or other combustible refuse or waste material, including leaves, brush, tree trimmings and grass is prohibited. Exemptions exist for recreational fires for cooking, warming or ceremonial purposes. Only wood may be burned. Also exempt is a cooking fire contained in a charcoal grill, campstove or other device designed for the purpose of cooking or smoking using charcoal or a non-ash producing fuel when used for food preparation.
