SNOW EMERGENCY – EXTENDED

City of Kewaunee EXTENDS Snow Emergency
The City of Kewaunee is extending a snow emergency effective at 2:00 AM Sunday, March 15, 2026, ending at 12:00 PM on THURSDAY, March 19, 2026. This snow emergency is being called due to heavy snowfall and the need to clear streets safely and effectively.  This snow emergency affects all streets within the City of Kewaunee.
During the snow emergency period, the following restrictions apply:

1)No vehicle is allowed to park on any City street until the snow emergency has expired.

2)Overnight on-street parking permissions will not be granted.

3)Vehicles found parking on-street during the snow emergency will be tagged, ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Again, the snow emergency will remain in effect until 12:00 PM on THURSDAY, March 19, 2026.  All City of Kewaunee residents and property owners must follow these snow emergency restrictions to 1) avoid receiving citations and vehicle tow charges, and 2) allow the City to clear roads in a safe and efficient manner.
Due to expected extreme conditions caused by this snowstorm, residents are urged not to travel unless necessary.  Thank you for understanding and support on this issue.

Snow Emergency extended by Mayor Jeff Vollenweider.
