The Kewaunee Police Department was selected to receive one of the 2024 Rewarding Responder Grants offered through the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation.  This is the 11th year the foundation offered this grant opportunity to emergency response agencies.  With the funds awarded we outfitted our School Crossing Guards with safety equipment in order to provide greater visibility.  

 

Crossing Guards received rain jackets, personal lighting devices, LED stop signs & traffic vests.  We were also able to provide the same equipment to the Kewaunee School District for those staff members who help out with Crossing Guard duty near the district office entrance.  

 

Members of the Kewaunee Police Department also received new traffic vests, personal lighting devices & LED traffic wands.
